Mininianka, originaire du village de Karangana, cercle de Yorosso, je suis Bassidy Koné, promoteur du complexe scolaire la plume. Sortant de l’Institut Pédagogique d’Enseignement Général de Bamako, détenteur d’une maîtrise en travail social de l’Institut National de Formation des Travailleurs Sociaux de Bamako, je suis actuellement en formation pour un Master en gestion économique/Management de projets à l’Institut Universitaire pour le Développement Territorial de Bamako.

HOW DID YOU BECOME ENTERPRENEUR?
D’abord enseignant depuis 1985, j’ai commencé mes premiers cours par ‘les cours à domicile’. Et c’est ainsi que l’idée m’ai venue « comment ouvrir une école privée ? ».
Il faut l’avouer, les textes de création et d’ouverture sont presque les mêmes qu’aujourd’hui seulement ce n’était pas un secteur rentable.
A cette période des années 1985, la notion d’école privée au niveau fondamental était une utopie pour les parents d’élèves.
En 1986 l’Etat ordonne l’ouverture des Ecoles de base au sein des écoles publiques .
Ainsi, je fus chargé d’ouvrir l’école de base de Fadjiguila sous la direction de Monsieur Famagan Cissé. Poste que j’abandonnerais au cours de la même année pour d’autres aventures.
Il a fallu attendre 1998 pour me voir revenir dans l’enseignement sous le label de promoteur d’école privée. Alors l’’école privée la plume’ venait d’être créée et le Lycée la Plume en 2007.
C’est ainsi que je suis devenu entrepreneur dans le domaine de l’éducation.

Le ‘Complexe scolaire la Plume’ souffre des mêmes problèmes d’ordre général de l’enseignement privé au Mali :
- Les infrastructures en contrat de bail ;
- Manque de formation continue pour le personnel enseignant ;
- Inexistence de source de financement pour l’enseignement fondamental privé ;
- Le faible équipement en matériel didactique et ;
- Surtout l’absence de bibliothèque et de laboratoire dans nos structures.
- La Plume suffers from the same general problems of private schools in Mali:

Regarding entrepreneurship, what appeals can you send to young people?
Pour que l’entrepreneuriat jeune marche, il faut que la jeunesse accepte de se former.
Puisqu’aujourd’hui, le Mali offre de réels créneaux d’investissement et le cadre institutionnel
est favorable à l’environnement des affaires (le guichet unique pour la création d’entreprise, code minier, Loi d’Orientation du Secteur Privé, la loi d’orientation agricole…)
C’est à elle de saisir l’occasion.
